Debbie Schlussel Exults in Lara Logan’s Suffering, Calls Muslims Animals

Debbie “getting-more-irrelevant-by-the-day” Schlussel is lashing out for attention once again. This time she is celebrating the suffering of CBS reporter Lara Logan who was surrounded by a “dangerous element” amongst celebrators at Tahrir Square.

Lara Logan suffered sexual assault and a brutal beating, she was saved by “20 women and a group of Egyptian soldiers” and is now back in the United States where she is recuperating. It is unfortunate that Schlussel is so extremely vile that she would take this incident to bash Lara and call all Muslims “animals” but it’s not surprising.

One wonders if Schlussel is human:

How Muslims Celebrate Victory: Egypt’s “Peaceful, Moderate, Democratic” Protesters

by Debbie Schlussel

As I’ve noted before, it bothers me not a lick when mainstream media reporters who keep telling us Muslims and Islam are peaceful get a taste of just how “peaceful” Muslims and Islam really are. In fact, it kinda warms my heart.  Still, it’s also a great reminder of just how “civilized” these “people” (or, as I like to call them in Arabic, “Bahai’im” [Animals]) are:

And remember this is the person that Robert Spencer alongside Pamela Geller described as a “freedom fighter.”

  1. First, the men that did that were not Muslim. Being Muslim is more than just being born in a “muslim country” or having “muslim parents/family” or a “muslim name” Being Muslim means that you read/believe the shahada, follow the five pillars, the sunnah, hadiths and strive everyday to be pleasing to Allah in thought and action.

  2. First I have to say this woman (and I hate to even dignify her with that title) is despicable. Second, where did she get the idea that the attackers were muslim? More likely they were Mubarak supporters and Jewish or Christian. I wonder, does she call herself a Christian? If so, she is insulting Christ and his teachings. Hateful people like her are an insult to humanity.

  3. She’s an idiot, point blank. She made the assumption that the attackers were Muslim, although they could have easily been Jewish or Christian, both religions of which are prominent in Egypt and the Middle East. Secondly, she acts as if Christians don’t commit crimes, such as sexual assault? We see that so often that we’ve become desensitized to it, yet when a “supposed” Muslim commits a crime the entire religion is put to trial. I’m over it and I’m over idiots like Schlussel that just make me LAUGH.

  4. Hey! Hey!! People!!! You have to understand. Poor Debbie Schlussel is suffering from “LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME!” Syndrome. I understand it’s progressive and incureable, eventually resulting in the complete loss of ones soul. For all intents and purposes, she’s already one of the walking vicious!

  5. This is an animal —– http://www.cleveland.com/anthony-sowell/

… ignorant people who elevate themselves to a position above others always seem to “KNOW” all the details that give them the right to label. First and foremost, who knows what the religious affiliation of these men were? The people in the streets during the protests were christian, muslim, and certainly some with no souls or conscience. They were egyptians, americans, and who knows how many other nationalities. The world was eager to support this movement.

So, to make my point, if the vile actions of a person(s) who is in every characteristic anonymous, save for the fact that they have committed something atrocious, then defines the moral character of anyone sharing something in common with this same person(s)….. be it race, sex, nationality, religion, physical proximity… then I suppose we can assume, by her same standards, that Ms. Schlussel is an animal of the same magnitude as Anthony Sowell???….. How absurd is this ?? Has she ever heard of six degrees of separation? Careful Debbie, someone might find a way to label you as a Muslim. She should be so luckey!!!

  6. When people say that Americans are Christian I want to scream NO, we are American, a country NOT a religion. Same, same for Muslim and the country they come from. The stupidity and ignorance of people shines with ideas such as of National Religion.

  7. Good afternoon, gentle readers. I wrote an article yesterday about how Ms. Schlussel is not becoming irrelevant, the fact of the matter being that she is one of the new faces of the new right.

Beware of this lady, for she’s made a career out of trivializing mayhem

  8. Whoever it was who assaulted the journalist, they were certainly not Bahai’s. Baha’im is not an Arabic word for “animals” it is a derogatory term for the Baha’i minority, derogatory because the -im ending is a Hebrew plural, not an Arabic one, so the implication is that the Bahais are a sort of Jew. Anti-Bahaism and anti-semitism have a lot in common, and sometimes recycle the same stories. See for example “The blood libel, Qom Variant” on my blog at
    http://sensday.wordpress.com/2010/05/25/blood-libel-qom/

Bahais are law-abiding to a fault: their religion forbids them engaging in sedition, revolution or the like, or using violence against individuals. There are only a few hundred Bahais in Egypt, so the chance that there was even one Bahai in Tahrir square is virtually nil.

  9. @Sen McGlinn,
I am Egyptian and Baha’im means Animals and not Baha’i and we do not use that term to describe them.but another word is used more commonly to say animals and it is Hayawanat. There was an issue with Baha’i in Egypt for they wish the government to put it on their national ID, but only Judaism, Christianity and Islam are acknowledged in Egypt and now they get their ID without any mention of religion, which is what they want.

  10. Did anyone see the attack? What really happened? Was she raped with hands or raped with dongs?

Have your say!
