HOUSTON – Authorities are investigating after a suspect allegedly started a fire at a mosque in southwest Houston on Saturday.

Authorities said the fire started at the Madrasae Islamiah Mosque in the 6665 block of Bintliff Drive around 3:30 a.m.

HFD said the suspect broke a window and poured an accelerant on a rug in one room inside the building. Damage was confined to that one room, officials said.

No injuries were reported.

Authorities said there was surveillance video but it failed to catch a clear image of the suspect.

  1. I’m sorry, why wasn’t this on any major news networks??

  2. This is really sad news. Hopefully the Houston police dept. can find and arrest this coward. Of course no major news networks will cover this, because its the zionist pigs that control the media. But I just leave it to Allah (SWT) to handle it, the person(s) will be sent directly to hell. Zionism preaches this kinna hatred towards Muslims. But Hamdillah nobody was injured.

  3. This kind of crime only implies how Islam is aggraviated.Islam is just a victim of false understanding.I hope that this will never happen again.

  4. I can only imagine if this happened to those who misunderstand Islam.

  5. I am sorry the temple was burned, but Islam does not have a monopoly on burned churches. In my lifetime the Baptist church I attend along with many others in our area had to be guarded by armed men because people were out burning churches. People get angry and this is one of the ways they show their anger.

  6. if they did it,its a terroris..if we did…its a arsonist……
