90% of Anti-Semitic Crimes in Germany Committed by Right-Wing Extremists

Horowitz tool Robert Spencer and his right-wing buddies, Bat YeorGeert WildersPamela Geller, etc. have attempted to create a narrative that Muslim immigrants and their children are responsible for most, if not all “anti-Semitic crimes” in Europe. We have shown in the past that this is false, and the below article asserts that it is actually “right-wing extremists” who commit most anti-Semitic crimes–upwards to 90%.

The article also reveals that about 20% of Germans harbor some form of anti-Semitism:

Study: 20% of Germans harbor anti-Semitism

A new study by a Parliament-appointed commission shows 20% of Germans harbor “latent” anti-Semitism, but anti-Jewish crimes are almost exclusively committed by the far right.

The 188-page report – which draws on several different surveys and other research – puts Germans in the middle of the pack in Europe, with a German university survey showing more latent anti-Semitism in countries such as Poland, Hungary and Portugal, and less in Italy, Britain, the Netherlands and France.

The study released Monday said the surveys show that about one-fifth of Germans agree with anti-Semitic statements, such as “Jews have too much power in business.”

The study also showed that 90% of anti-Semitic crimes are committed by right-wing extremists, who number about 26,000 according to official estimates.

It recommends better coordination of local, state and federal strategies to combat anti-Semitism.

The report makes reference to “a wider acceptance in mainstream society of day-to-day anti-Jewish tirades and actions”.

“Anti-Semitism in our society is based on widespread prejudices, deeply rooted clichés and on sheer ignorance about Jews and Judaism,” stated one of the report’s authors, Dr. Peter Longerich of the University of London, Holocaust Research Center.

The report cites the Internet as a contributing factor to the spread of anti-Semitic thought.

“With regard to modern forms of communication – we point to the Internet in particular – it is virtually impossible to prevent the spread of such thinking,” Longerich continued.

  1. Strange. Because I’m willing to bet it turns out to be Christians who are responsible for most anti-Semitic crimes in Europe (not to insult those Christians – and it’s the majority – who aren’t anti-Semitic)…

  2. It’s amazing that people can get away with trying to pin anti-Semitism on Muslims. For centuries upon centuries, the Muslim world was the safest place for Jews. Jewish culture thrived in Muslim Spain while Jews elsewhere in Europe were being massacred because people blamed them for the Black Death. When Catholic Spain expelled all its Jews during the Inquisition, the Muslim Ottoman Empire took them in as refugees. After the Crusaders massacred Jews and banned them from Jerusalem, the Muslims under Salah ad-Din allowed the Jews to return to practice their faith freely once they liberated the city. There has NEVER been any significant Muslim-Jewish tension until the arrival of Zionism in the last century.

  3. Last time I checked,Aryan Neo-Nazis ARE’NT Muslim!!! Usually they hide behind their warped interpretations of the Bible!!!

  4. By encouraging this Islamophobia, the Israeli government is betraying decency but also the Jews of Europe and the US. We experienced these right-wing thugs and we know there is no difference between us and Muslims in their black hearts. As far as I am concerned an attack on a Muslim, verbal or physical is an attack on me. Encouraging such attacks, sanctioning such attacks, providing tacit approval of them is doing so to me as well. I don’t care the source, it is what it is. The Israeli government is divorced from reality, from God and even from the faith it falsely claims.

  5. Ironic that their rhetoric sounds just like Hitler’s.

  6. I hate that kind of Shit.

  7. It is absolutely unsurprising either that most of the anti-Semitic crimes are done by right-wingers, or that these clowns ignore facts in their anti-Islamic psychosis. And it’s not a big step from one anti- to the other.

  8. idiots

  9. Well of course. From a historical perspective, Muslims and Jews have been friends for the majority of the last 1400 years. The so called “Islamic” anti-Semetism that has surged in some countries over the last 50 years is caused by the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, whereas the so called “Judeo-Christian” luvvy happy friendliness has also existed for just about the last 50 years because of Christian Zionism.

Despite all of this historical evidence, I have heard some pretty strange Christian conspiracy theories on several evangelical sites. The prevailing one is that Arabs and Muslims are inherently anti-Semitic (racist much?) because they are all supposedly descendants of Ishmael عليه السلام who was the brother of and supposedly the Biblical rival of Isaac عليه السلام from whom Jews are descended, causing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The problem with this theory is that 1) not all Muslims are Arabs, 2) Some Arabs are Jews and Christians, 3) Arabs are a culture and not a race and therefore many of them are not genealogically related, 4) Palestinian Arabs are descendants of the peoples of ancient Judea (Palestine) including Jews, and are therefore descendants of Isaac, 5)Islam respects both Ishmael and Isaac and their descendants as prophets and considers Jews to be fellow believers, and 6) it completely ignores Israel’s aggressive foreign policy.
