ISNA President Discusses Islamophobia on MSNBC

31 January 2012 General No Comment Email This Post Email This Post

(May 6, 2011) Yesterday, ISNA President Imam Mohamed Magid appeared on MSNBC’s Dylan Ratigan show to discuss Islamophobia in America.  Directly following the announcement of Osama Bin Laden’s death, there were a number of hate crimes perpetrated at mosques across the country, further reinforcing the mis-conception by some Americans that Islam is synonymous with terrorism.

Imam Magid discussed strategies used by ISNA and our other faith partners to combat this mis-conception and to show what we are doing to ensure that the message of peace and tolerance is promoted across America, in mosques, churches, synagogues, and all public places.  To view the full interview, please click here.
