Pastor Dennis Terry Introduces Rick Santorum, Tells Non-Christians And Liberals To Get Out (VIDEO)

“I don’t care what the liberals say, I don’t care what the naysayers say, this nation was founded as a Christian nation…There is only one God and his name is Jesus. I’m tired of people telling me that I can’t say those words.. Listen to me, If you don’t love America, If you don’t like the way we do things I have one thing to say – GET OUT. We don’t worship Buddha, we don’t worship Mohammad, we don’t worship Allah, we worship God, we worship God’s son Jesus Christ.”

In a revival type speech, Greenwell Springs Baptist Church pastor Rev. Dennis Terry introduced Family Research Council president Tony Perkins and 2012 Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Christians, according to Rev. Terry, are the conscience of the state and even the key to turning the economy around. The pastor offered some pointed words about abortion, gay marriage, and prayer in schools, shouting about ‘sexual perversion’ and putting God back in Washington, D.C., as Senator Santorum was seen clapping, if not cheering, in the background.

“I know what’s in his heart. It’s the fact that he’s a Christian,” said Vickie Raabe, a 69-year-old Baptist who told the Washington Post she would be voting for Santorum in 2012. Evangelicals have become Sen. Rick Santorum’s major source of support in the 2012 election as they turn out in record numbers for the Catholic candidate.

But as then Presidential hopefuls Senator Barack Obama, Gov. Sarah Palin, and Senator John McCain found out, endorsement from pastors can be a double edge sword.

At the end of the evening Rev. Terry prayed over the presidential hopeful asking for God’s will to be done in the upcoming election intoning: “God, have favor on Rick Santorum.”

  1. Last I checked, this was America, a melting pot of all races and religions. Pastor Dennis and Rick Santorum are not American. They’re just delusional psychos.

  2. Also, the next person to try telling me that America was founded on Christianity is getting slapped with a history book.

  3. You go Pastor Terry because we all know how Jesus felt about that “love one another” crap.

  4. If Rick Santorum takes office all those different civil rights leaders who fought for rights such as freedom of religion, equal rights, right for women to vote etc… will all have been done in vain!

  5. Crazier than a bedbug..

  6. Those people need to stop twisting the word of God, and using it to justify their fear, racism and elitism. Enough is enough.

  7. I Agree with Samantha

  8. based on hate. how is he following Christ?

  9. Sounds like Santorum may have a problem. One of those radical, extremist religion preachers, kind of problems.

  10. Fools are just looking for attention. No way they’ll get elected. The bigots are keeping the Repuglicans all stirred up and encouraging HATERS.

  11. Ignorance.

  12. And that’s fine, if he’s speaking only for those who believe as he does! The problem with these rightwingnuts is that they are not content to have the freedom to believe as they choose; they want to force their beliefs on others. They have NO clue about the Constitution, or if they do, they want it re-written to make it OK for THEM to force THEIR religion down anyone else’s throat. Keep it up, Republicans, PLEASE keep it up. Keep reminding us why you are so dangerous to us, to our nation, to our democracy, and the VOTERS will take care of ending your fossil party and your love of fossil fuel and we will be able to move forward in this country without you and your obstructionist LUNACY.

  13. This Pastor needs to get his facts straight. ALLAH is another word for god!

  14. santorum etc worship satan

  15. Actually, the Buddhists don’t worship Buddha as a god, he’s pretty much so only revered for founding Buddhism. >_>

  16. The super idiot doesnt know Allah means God!!!!I have never seen a country with more “educated” morons than here…and Santorum is about a stupid as the preacher!

  17. And exactly where in the constitution does it say that this country was founded on christian principles?

  18. exactly, Lowell Cedric Johnson ! Arab Christians pray to ALLAH as well, because that is the Arabic word for God !

  19. (headdesk)

  20. We are not now and have never been a Christians Only nation. The First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States expressly prohibits the creation of a state or national religion that al must adhere to; our Founding Fathers for the most part were Deists and wanted to ensure our great nation was not ruled by theology, but by the principles of freedom for all, to worship or not as each sees fit. Pastor Terry & Rick Santorum seek to change that; they seek to create a dominionist theocracy. Pastor Terry’s declaration that anyone not worshipping God & Jesus should leave the land of the free………….. evidently he has something against those of the Jewish faith too.

  21. yeah I am a christian who is a liberal, because I know Allah means God in Islam. Its sad who those so called christians talk like that. And I don’t want Rick or any republicans to be president. So I will stick with Obama.

  22. @Lowell Cedric Johnson: allah is NOT God was NOT God and allah CAN NEVER BE GOD.

    See http://www.islam-watch.org/Larry/Why-Allah-is-not-God.htm

See youtube video that explains the name of God in arabic and it aint allah http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbAJ1jIbl1A

  23. I better not see any non-Christian, non-heterosexual, or any person with recently immigrated family voting for any of these bigoted GOP candidates …

  24. Arab Christians’ word for God, that they use in church and prayer is…Allah…Reverend Windbag needs to hush…

  25. this is so unlike the jeebus they pretend to follow!!! assholes like this have perverted what christ was all about; after all, jeebus liked to hang out with lowlifes and prostitutes–read the fucking bible!!

  26. umm I am pretty sure the Arabic word for God is Allah…. commenting on the post above mine

  27. I am a true American I am Cherokee Eastern Ban my people founded this country an we have the great spirit. Because who has ever seen god? An if your god is god it shouldn’t be shamed upon as a nick name!!!

  28. just shows religion was invented to help nutters rule over the weak …….

  29. This guy really needs to get his facts straight. Buddhists don’t worship Buddha and muslims don’t worship Muhammad.

  30. Yes one word fits. Bigot.

  31. Pastor DumbA$$, Allah is another name for God… How can you call yourself a Pastor and only love your own kind. What honor is that? Say the Bible…We must be reading a different Bible then this guy..

  32. The empty can truly rattles the loudest

  33. Jannah, do you expect someone like Terry to know that much less care whether he is correct or not??

  34. I remember this nut from collage, who every Easter would tie himself to cross and go on and on about the bible. I told him Allah was great. He told me God was greater then Allah. I calmly asked him if water was greater then water. He said no. I then calmly asked him what he thought Arab Christians call God in Arabic. He looked at me blankly until I told him it is Allah. Thus God can not be greater then water as they are one and the same

  35. Has he ever read the Bible? Is he aware that Jesus told his followers not to worship him because he isn’t God?

  36. Game point set and match.

  37. If anything, the fathers of the nation were Free Masons, and was actually very open-minded.Jefferson even had his own copy of The Holy Quran! By the way…Politics and Religion do not mix well….!

  38. I’m still trying to figure out how the country was so call found when the Natives were already here and their way of living is more just than any law or constitution that is in place now.

  39. He’ll be the next to choke on his own bile. Hateful bigot!

  40. Nay, I say, Pastor Dennis, you go and take your racist, elitist diatribe with you. I’ll help you pack your self-entitled, misogynistic, close minded bags and drive you to the airport.

  41. So much for freedom of religion. Interesting how Pastor Dennis is “tired of people telling him” he can’t “talk about” Jesus. No one is telling him that. He would do well to read the constitution, or better still, perhaps undergo the experiences of someone who is non-Christian for awhile.

  42. Ignoranus!

  43. I hope that church is not tax exempt since the preacher is promoting this idiot (oh, I mean candidate)

  44. lol “we’re damned pagans! and if you aren’t a damned pagan just get out!” idiot.

  45. [3/12/2012 10:27:35 PM] CindaSue: John 7:16-18
    English Standard Version (ESV)
16 So Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me. 17 If anyone’s will is to do God’s[a] will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority. 18 The one who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory; but the one who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and in him there is no falsehood.

    John 6:38
    King James Version (KJV)
38For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

God, Lord and Father are descriptions. Allah is a name. Taken into account, all descriptions of God, replaced with Allah still leave almighty Allah and Jesus is simply his messenger.

  47. To the Webmaster:

Could you please remove the photo of Dirty spencer, as every time I come to this forum I have to look at the dirty creature.

    Please remove his dirty face!

    Thanks,

  48. Sounds like the screaming Taliban in the middle east.

  49. Pastor Dennis said…”worship God’s son Jesus Christ.” Now, cant we worship God, who is the father of Jesus Christ instead? If we worship Jesus’ father are we going to be punished? If yes, by who, Jesus? Or by God who we give our worship? See there are two peersonalities on that statement, God and God’s son Jesus Christ. No wonder it took millions of books to explain they are one, started off by the gospel OF Paul.

  50. I don’t worship Muhammad (SAW) either, although I do revere him as God’s final prophet who taught God’s final testament.
I worship ALLAH the Almighty Creator of all the worlds. I am wondering why this pastor worship Jesus the son of god. Why not worship jesus’s father, if he was God himself? Isn’t god the father mightier than the son?
    Please clear this matter up.

  51. @cleopatra
May Allah always bless you sister

    @Chiedu Oranye
Follow Jesus, not Paul. Worship God, not Jesus.

  52. I love America. I think it is a wonderful, free nation that has in the past been a moral standard to measure against, and has proven to be one of the greatest nations in history. Even if it wasn’t founded as a Christian nation, is was, indeed, founded on Christian ideals and principles, this being the culture that the founding father’s grew up in. However, they had the open-mindedness and foresight to make the constitution as secular and, when religious, non-denominational as possible. It is just this love for this country and the admiration of these Christian principles that makes me dread the though of Santorum taking office, and look with horror on the growing tide of far-right conservative hatred that is sweeping this great country like a cancer. Jesus taught love and respect for everyone. He taught to fight only in self-defense. He taught to let others do what they will with what is theirs, and he taught to worship “Him who sent me”. Meanwhile, these so-called Christians on the right preach xenophobic hate, wars of aggression, interference in the personal lives of others to shove your own morals down their throats, and a vilification for everyone who doesn’t worship Jesus. They forget that, for much of Early Christianity, half of Christians followed Arianism, which saw Jesus as Muslims see him: holy, enlightened, without sin, a Messiah, raised by God to heaven, and destined to come again, but not a creation of God, and therefore not God. In this sense, Muslims are, technically, a sect of Christianity, just as Muslims see Christians and Christ as being part of Islam. So God save America, and preserve it from the hatred and fear that some of its citizenry are trying so hard to produce.

  53. Cleopatra:”I don’t worship Muhammad (SAW) either, although I do revere him as God’s final prophet who taught God’s final testament”.
Unfortunately, for you, apparently Muhammad was not God’s final prophet, for there have been many other self-proclaimed prophets since the 7th century.
You say you don’t worship Muhammad (SAW), only Allah. But it’s dificult to separate the two. Time after time after time you always see the phrase Allah and his prophet, Allah and his messenger… Looks very much like a duality.

  54. Sorry. I forgot “and Allah and his apostle”.

Have your say!
