Spelling Bee for Muslim schools provokes Islamophobic Hate Fest

Spelling Bee for Muslim schools provokes Islamophobic Hate Fest

by Sheila Musaji

There will be a Muslim Spelling Bee this year for students of Islamic schools across the country.  This is the first year that Muslims have held such an event.

OnIslam reported that

A Michigan Muslim school is planning to organize the world’s first national spelling bee in an effort to help connect the sizable minority with the wider American society.

The competition will “help connect the Muslim community to the mainstream community.” Tausif Malik, the owner of TMA Worldwide with his wife Asma, told Ann Arbor news portal.

“Muslims are not aware of spelling bees because they are focused on getting their children into engineering or medicine.

Sounds like an excellent idea, certainly not one that anyone could object to, or at least that’s what any reasonable person would think.

There are many other such events for other private and religious schools and groups.  Here are just a few:

—A Hebrew Spelling Bee in Cleveland, and a tri-county Hebrew Spelling Bee in Florida
— a spelling bee for Jewish Day Schools in New York, and for the Jewish community inOmaha, Nebraska,
— a spelling bee for Catholic grade schools in Philadelphia, and another in Minnesota,
— a spelling bee for Lutheran schools in Michigan
— Christ Methodist Church School has a spelling bee in Memphis, Tennessee

Nevertheless, there are some who are so filled with hatred towards Islam and Muslims that even such a simple activity as holding a spelling bee for children becomes an opportunity to spread their poisonous bile.

Bonni Benstock-Intall of Bare Naked Islam posted an article MICHIGANISTAN: ‘Muslim-Only’ Spelling Bee which opened with

So much for integration and assimilation with the filthy kuffar. Then again, how many of us pork eaters know how to spell ‘Intifada’ in Arabic?

Here are a few of the comments left by readers

—We should sponsor a little infidel into the contest and when they disqualify our little infidel – SUE THE CRAP OUTTA THEM!!! Lawfare can go both ways!!

— AMEN! Can you spell A-S-S-L-I-F-T-E-R?!

— Well its always nice to see the future terrorists of the world at least able to spell allah,or dirt bag,or mohammad,or virgin, before they detonate their bomb vest in one of our schools.

— Like Mr. Rogers: Now children, can you spell “DEPORTATION” ? How about “BEHEADING” ? Maybe “INBRED” ?

— Muslims can’t spell. They’re too f*&%ing inbred and retarded to spell. F*&% Muslims. Jesus sent Mohammed to hell f*&%ers. On the site the actual swear words are spelled out

— Can you believe that this is happening? We are watching them take over our county piece by piece.

— Imagine the uproar if there was a Christian only spelling bee.

This goes beyond Islamophobia into the realm of pure hatred, and such hatred is truly savage. They should be ashamed, but I don’t believe that they are capable of even that much awareness.

  1. A religion that attempts to change societies to meet their Islamic demands. A religion that advocates the killing of gays. A religion that kills those who leave Islam. A religion that discriminates against women. A religion that discriminates against non-Muslims. A religion that executes people by stoning.

Yet Muslims complain and claim victim any time something is said about Islam that they don’t agree with.

There should be no doubt in anyone’s mind why Islam is becoming a hated religion. The ironic thing is that it’s not the infidel who makes Islam look bad, Muslims make Islam look bad.

  2. Oh that’s just disgusting. WTF is wrong with people nowadays?!

  3. Oh that’s just disgusting. WTF is wrong with people nowadays?!

  4. Danny, I have to disagree strongly with your statement. For one thing, it has absolutely nothing to do with the subject of this article. You missed the fact that there *are* religious schools that host their own spelling bees (and other activities). Nobody gives *them* any grief.

Some of these posters ignore the fact that Mohammed came AFTER Jesus, and therefore neither he nor his followers could have been sent to h*ll (or anywhere else) by Jesus or by His message.

They (and you, for that matter) are also very conveniently ignoring the history of the Christian faith itself. It, too, “advocated the killing of gays […] discriminates [still!] against women […] discriminates against non-Christians [in this case, Muslims in particular]. A religion that executes people by [burning – witches, anyone].”

No, this isn’t at all about Islam itself, but about hate. Pure, unadulterated, and simple.

  5. Oh I missed one. Christianity not only attempted but succeeded in changing societies to meet its demands! Not only in the Americas, but in Europe, Africa and even Australia too. (Ever seen “Rabbit-Proof Fence?” You should. That was the work of Christian missionaries, and wasn’t all that long ago, either.)

No, sir, you have it all wrong.

  6. crusades, anyone? and how about them there leviticus and man lie down with another man death thing…christeens iz soo styoopid….

  7. eh…i don’t like fighting hate with hate though. You can also point out that the Koran doesn’t actually advocate the killing of gays or beating of women, and most violence and barbarity in the Muslim world can probably be traced to poverty, lack of education, and corrupt government/religious officials. Look at central and southern africa: primarily Christian, or other religions, but the same problems. Because they’re Christian? no. Because they’re black? no. Because they’re poor, uneducated, living with manipulative leadership and constantly beset by violence and conditions we can barely imagine? yes.

    “The Hadith and Seerah

The hadith (sayings of the Prophet) show that homosexuality was not unknown in Arabia.[7] Given that the Qur’an is vague regarding the punishment of homosexual sodomy, Islamic jurists turned to the collections of the hadith (sayings or actions of Muhammad) and Seerah (accounts of his life) to support their argument for Hudud punishment; these are perfectly clear.[7]

Ibn al-Jawzi[disambiguation needed ] records Muhammad as cursing sodomites in several hadith, and recommending the death penalty for both the active and passive partners in same-sex acts.[8]

Sunan al-Tirmidhi, again reports Muhammad as having prescribed the death penalty for both the active and the passive partner: “Whoever you find committing the sin of the people of Lut (Lot), kill them, both the one who does it and the one to whom it is done.”[1] The overall moral or theological principle is that a person who performs such actions (luti) challenges the harmony of God’s creation, and is therefore a revolt against God.[9]

Al-Nuwayri in his Nihaya reports that the Prophet is alleged to have said what he feared most for his community were the practices of the people of Lot (although he seems to have expressed the same idea in regard to wine and female seduction).[7]

    Medieval jurisprudence

The four schools of medieval shari’a (Islamic law) disagreed on what punishment is appropriate for liwat. Abu Bakr Al-Jassas (d. 981 AD/370 AH) argued that the two hadiths on killing homosexuals “are not reliable by any means and no legal punishment can be prescribed based on them,”[10] and the Hanafi school held that it does not merit any physical punishment, on the basis of a hadith that “Muslim blood can only be spilled for adultery, apostasy and homicide”; against this the Hanbali school held that sodomy is a form of adultery and must incur the same penalty, i.e., death.[9]

There were varying opinions on how the death penalty is to be carried out. Abu Bakr recommended toppling a wall on the evil-doer, or else burning alive,[11] while Ali bin Abi Talib ordered death by stoning for one “luti” and had another thrown head-first from the top of a minaret – according to Ibn Abbas, this last punishment must be followed by stoning.[7]”

  9. michelle,

you’re right the followers of the god of abraham have commited may atrocities throughout history. hell the god of abraham itself has killed innocent children. strange that so may people still bow down to worship such a brutal being, don’t you think?

  10. The Hadith are not divine revelation, and the Koran even states that Muhammad’s sayings outside revelation do not necessarily reflect the will of God. at that point, he returns to being a product of his time. The Koran itself only mentions homosexuality in regards to Lot, but doesn’t directly say that it is homosexuality, but instead sexual transgressions that invited their demise. I think an entire city wanting to gang-rape angels counts as sin, no matter what your sexual orientation

  11. We Muslims need to get our house in order and stop giving others an excuse to vent their ignorance at us. There’s more harm being done by our imbecile leaders and rulers and by our so-called brothers, in the name of Islam, than there is by any hate-filled individual or society.

  12. Danny, im muslim and disagree with you. We support other religions. We do not kill gays (the sane people, at least.) Stoning is banned in all countries besides saudi arabia (I hate that place) We do not discriminate against women, they wear the shawls to allow men to judge them by their personalities. We give them equal rights, wheras some christians give women unequal rights and shut them in the kitchen, not saying that some muslims also dont do that, but we hate them as much as you do.
Danny, hop in your time machine made out of cheeseburgers and fat filled soda, and go back to the crusades.

  13. adam,

i think you are missing a few

“As of September 2010, stoning is a punishment that is included in the laws in seven countries including Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Sudan, Iran, Yemen, the United Arab Emirates, and some states in Nigeria.[17] While stoning may not be codified in the laws of Afghanistan and Somalia, both countries have seen several incidents of stoning to death.”

“A survey carried out by the Indonesia Survey Institute found that 43% of Indonesians support Rajam or stoning for adulterers.[37]

A survey conducted by the Pew Research Center found relatively widespread popular support for stoning as a punishment for adultery in Egypt (82% of respondents in favor of the punishment), Jordan (70% in favor), Indonesia (42% in favor), Pakistan (82% favor) and Nigeria (56% in favor).”
