By Scott Kaufman (RawStory)

Speaking at the Pastor for Life Luncheon, which was sponsored by Pro-Life Mississippi, Chief Justice Roy Moore of the Alabama Supreme Court declared that the First Amendment only applies to Christians because “Buddha didn’t create us, Mohammed didn’t create us, it was the God of the Holy Scriptures” who created us.

“They didn’t bring the Koran over on the pilgrim ship,” he continued. “Let’s get real, let’s go back and learn our history. Let’s stop playing games.”

He then noted that he loves talking to lawyers, because he is a lawyer who went to “a secular law school,” so he knows that “in the law, [talking about God] just isn’t politically correct.” He claimed that this is why America has “lost its way,” and that he would be publishing a pamphlet “this week, maybe next” that contained copies of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, thereby proving that all the people “who found this nation — black, white, all people, all religions, all faiths” knew that America was “about God.”

  1. He is just flat out stupid. He obviously doesn’t know anything about religion. Buddhism doesn’t teach a god created anything. Buddhist rely on scientific information about things of that nature. And like most people he doesn’t have the slightest clue about Islam.

  2. All religions are nothing but a divisive, destructive force.

  3. Need to be fired!!!

  4. What a dick lol

  5. Portuguese Muslims were pushed out of Portugal, forced to work on ships and ended up in the Caribbean and Southern U.S. in 1600-1750’s era……

  6. (I haven’t read in detail the story, but…) it sounds almost like he wants to go back to slavery too. Pilgrims were only a small portion of people who came to America.

  7. So he wants to go back to the 15th. Century??

  8. He is right, the prophet Mohammad peace and blessings upon him did not created us, God created us

  9. This guy is just plain IGNORANT. The U.S. Constitution does not mention God at all; the Declaration of Independence only mentions God in Deistic terms such as Creator, Nature’s God, etc. — it does not favor any religion at all.

  10. How do these people get elected? They are just stupid. I mean forget that, how did they even get through school?

  11. Keep in mind that Alabama is a state where if Slavery was on the ballot, most will vote in favor of it.

  12. Hmm well he makes himself look more stupid coz first Muslims dnt believe Mohamed created them but god second let’s talk abt the pilgrims. Wasn’t it the pilgrims that killed the natives. Wasn’t this countries history a dark one. I mean killing of the Indians. Then racism against blacks and women fighting to be equal citizens. I could go on all day. J won’t even go into what the bible says.

  13. It scares me how people like this become elected officials…

  14. The Supreme Court just endorsed Christian prayer at local government meetings. Ugh.

  15. This judge need to learn what Ben Franklin said about Muslims

  16. This idiot doesn’t know his history or his Bible. And probably is just as ignorant about the law. Typical Alabama cracker.

  17. “As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion”- U.S. Treaty of Tripoli, 1797, Signed by President John Adams, unanimously ratified by Congress.

  18. Moore probably took too many shots to the head in his kick-boxing days.

  19. another traitor to the contstuion the first admendement protects all faith not just his

  20. Wonder what he’d think of Robert Dickson Crane’s theory about the Cherokee having crossed paths with Muslim sailors – way back in the 1300’s? I don’t know how solid that hypothesis is, but still…

  21. Stupid fucktard….maybe he ought to learn about other faiths before bashing them….

  22. it is a shame that such a high rank person shows this kind of ignorance , but he is not the only ones , the media propaganda is incredible the horrific actions of this group in Nigeria BOKO HARAM , do not represent Islam the teaching of the Prophet pbuh , the Sharia law , but the media is out there screaming against us as usual , making it look like all Muslims do such things , reality is the slaves trades exist in Africa still in this days sad but truth , and all different people do it Christians and Muslims , this do not means that the blabbering of this terrorist that use Islam and the name of Allah with no rights , is the truth , Angiiolina jolye went to the united nations to denonce this problems lomg time ago the kid napping and trade of humans is been going on this is not the first time , WE AS MUSLIM condemn this and we all way will , but the media propaganda is out there , i see reactions of Americans here on facebook social media in general , full of hate against Islam , but not only in America , if only this people wold take the time to learn and understand what Islam is about it , the respect we show to women i have travel in many Muslim countries under Sharia laws , women go to school freely drive marry only we both parties agree , rapist in Islam many times are put to death , and people here tell me the our religion permit this ? there is people here that stlll believe that Allah is the moon God , dont understand that not every body in the world use the english language , dont understand that Allah means God in arabic and christians with arabic language use this word , really i feel so tired and hurt to see this ,,may prayers are with this girls in Nigeria may Allah bring them home and punish those who do evil , my prayers are with those in this country who have closed their hearts and mind , this gentle man in alabama or any body also, my prayers are for a better world , where we will leave in peace

  23. These are the types of people that propagate hate and confusion . This is sad that this man is ignorant to the fact of any history or religion

  24. He needs to check his US history, mohammedans were in America long before the declaration of independence was established.

  25. Constant vigilance is the price of freedom. Many, with their bulging purses at stake, are watching out for the health of the 2nd Amendment, even looking to stretch it out of all recognition to its original purpose. The 1st Amendment for freedom of religion, including the “Establishment Clause” to rule out an official American religion, has no financial beneficiaries.

More behind-the-scenes scheming than ever comes out in the news (except when these guys mouth off, missionaries to Africa pushing “Kill the Gays” laws get caught, or Sarah Palin’s church attendance gets noticed) goes on steadily to turn the US into a theocracy. Obviously, the danger isn’t creeping sharia law. Christian theocracy, and I’m a (progressive) Christian, scares me spitless, because it could very well happen, and the results would not just be bad for non-Christians, but anyone not a conservative white Christian male.

  26. I wish just once these people could read & understand correctly, instead of giving us their own opinions.

  27. Another ignorant fool on the loose.

  28. How can they leave this idiot in such a sensitive position ?? Does this sound like someone who can be unbiased and just in his rulings? So if he has a case with a christian and someone from another religion what kind of judgement do you expect from him ?

  29. Do u think he believe in God ???? I don’t think so b coz his brain full of shit n that what i believe he is

  30. Muslims also believe that the God of Abraham (PBUH) was the one who created us. Obviously a very hateful and ignorant man. How did he get on the bench?

  31. God created humans to be equal. Stop violating human rights.

  32. Evidently the Supreme Court agrees, though it does show their lack of familiarity with the Constitution.

He is a hateful liar. I wish that people like him didn’t prosper in this country.

  33. He shows his lack of education no Buddist or muslim never said budda or Mohammad created us

  34. He is not fit to be judge at a dog show.

  35. He is right though. Allah, the All-Mighty is The Lord of all things seen and unseen. Torah, Bible, Quran. Allah is the One God. The most important statement he made was spot on. Muhammad (peace and blessings upon him) didn’t create us nor did Bhudda. Our Creator is the same Creator of everything. Regardless if the Quran came over with the pilgrims or not, we should take the truth if his statement, the most important aspect of his statement and lead him and others closer to that!

  36. Did this guy even read the Federalist Papers? Because, like, when you’re deciding what the Founding Fathers meant, it might help to have some insight about, oh, idk, what they meant. Or early American jurisprudence protecting the interests of multiple religions.

  37. Thomas Jefferson’s own Qur’an has been in the possession of the Library of Congress for decades.

  38. Well then what the hell kind of free speech is that?! That ain’t no first amendment!

  39. Another crockpot on the head.

  40. Whatever you say, Ayatollah Moore

  41. One more self righteous judgemental “Christian” ….why I left organized religion many years ago….

  42. Ignorant cunt. He looks drunk.
