A local Islamic center has been targeted by vandals. Explicit language, derogatory symbols, and lines have been spray-painted on two exterior walls and the entrance sign of the center, located in Green Valley near U.S. Route 460.

San Diego police arrested a man after he entered a mosque during early-morning prayer, yelled “terrorist rats” and made death threats.

Among other hostile statements, the anonymous caller said, “I’m going to throw a bomb in your (expletive) school,” according to the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which reported the incident to the FBI and the San Diego Police Department.
