Palestinian mosque set on fire in suspected hate crime

Vandals set fire to a mosque early Wednesday morning in the Palestinian village Deir Istiya in the northern West Bank, in a suspected hate crime by Jewish vandals. Light damage was caused to the door of the mosque as the fire did not spread.

A mosque was vandalized in a Palestinian village south of Bethlehem in an apparent “price tag” attack retaliating for the serious injury of an Israeli girl. Graffiti spray-painted Sunday on the mosque read “revenge for Adele Biton,” “regards from Adele” and “price tag.” The tires of a car parked nearby also were slashed.

Three cars were torched and a mosque wall was spray painted with the sentence “price tag Gal Arye Yosef” in the village of Dir Istiya near Ariel in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The sentence refers to the name of an illegal outpost that was evacuated in the last few days.

Early in October they vandalized a mosque by setting it on fire. And also, last year around the same time, Safed, a small town in Israel had grafiti that the “Price Tag” vandals are known for.
